Horrifying images have shown that Nigerian slaves in Libya have had their organs harvested, bodies mutilated and set of fire
Horrifying images have shown that Nigerian slaves in Libya have had their organs harvested, bodies mutilated and set of fire. These images have come after a CNN video initially revealed that humans were for sale for around $200 at Libyan slave trade markets, sparking global outrage.
Former Nigerian Aviation Minister, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode tweeted the images on his social media account.
Set on fire
“Roasted alive! This is what Libyans do to sub-saharan Africans who are looking for a transit point to Europe. They sell them into slavery and either murder, mutilate, torture or work them to death. All this yet not a word of condemnation from @MBuhari or other African leaders!”
Organs removed and sold
“Behold the cruelty of the Libyans. African slaves whose organs have been removed and sold. May God have mercy on our people!”
Calling for war
“If there were ever a reason or cause for us to go to war, the Libyans have provided it by enslaving our people and buying and selling them like Christmas turkeys and sallah goats. No human being deserves to be caged like an animal and roasted like suya meat.”
President Muhammadu Buhari finally broke his silence by saying, “The situation in Libya, of people being sold into slavery, is appalling and unacceptable. We will do everything to protect our citizens wherever they might be.”
One simply wonders, where is the United Nations and African Union at this point?
